On our recent Conquest cruise, we arrived at 1:00 p.m. in Curacao. We walked off the ship around !:30 p.m. and walked to the taxi stand. We took a shared taxi to Sea Aquarium Beach (very short ride), spent a couple of hours there working on our tan, drinking, and swimming. The taxi ride was $5/person (we had 4 people in our van). If there are only two people in the taxi, I think the going rate is $20/car load. Once you arrive at the beach, there is a two story shopping area, lots of restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, plenty of loungers, etc. They will charge you $3.50/person to access the beach and $3/person for a lounger.

We returned to the ship around 5:00 p.m., ran up to our stateroom, showered and changed and walked to the RIF Fort where there are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops open late. The pontoon bridge is all lit up at night and so is the town, beautiful.
