Transportation after the cruise question

We made all arrangements with Disney for both Cruise and Air...is there a special time we need to be on a bus to go to the airport? Our flight is at 12:20pm. I'm hoping we don't have to be up and off at dawn. It would be nice to have one final meal at one of the dining rooms...

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are assigned to a specific breakfast time in the MDR the final morning, based on your dinner seating. That said, you don't necessarily have to go to it. You can go the buffet, or just skip breakfast, if you wish.

You must be out of your room by 8:00 and off the ship by 9:00.

Busses (DCL transportation) start loading for the airport as soon as people start coming off the ship. Once a bus fills up, it leaves. There's no set schedule. When you debark the ship, you go to the bus loading area, and check in with the CM there. You will be directed to the bus. Busses generally depart about every 20-30 minutes, but could be more often, depending on how quickly the busses fill.

I'll tell you, you don't want to be on the "last" bus. They will hold that bus until they are sure everyone is off the ship who will be taking DCL transportation to the airport.

Since you booked air thru DCL, you are likely on a "participating airline." If so, be sure you are signed up for on board check in. This way, you will get your boarding passes and luggage tags in your cabin on the second to last day. You tag your bags and place them outside your cabin the last night and next see them at your home airport. At MCO, you can go thru security and check in at the gate since you have everything you need. Great way to avoid lines!

As noted, you'll have an assigned dining room/time for breakfast based on your dinner seating but the other options for breakfast are listed above. And, as above, avoid that last bus if at all possible. You will sit on the bus and wait till they have done the "sweep" of the ship to be sure everyone is off who should be...and that bus will stop at all terminals at MCO. We got stuck on it once--it is just a pain.
