First RCI cruise, looking for itinerary ideas that has good diving and kid friendly

Recommended Posts

This would be our first RCI cruise. So far my favorite for our family has been a Disney cruise but the price for 7 days is insane for a family of 5. My dad likes to scuba dive and our kids will range from 2-9 years old. We would appreciate any recommendations for itineraries and/or thoughts on kids club or other things for kids to do at sea. We're looking at sometime between Jan-March before spring break.

I would start by reviewing this page:

Royal has great ships going to most of these destinations. Personally, with kids, I would stick with ships in the Freedom class or larger. Decide what's most important to you and your family:

  • Pricing
  • Departure port
  • Ship amenities
  • Children's programs
  • Shows
  • etc.

Once you've done that, you'll have no problem picking a cruise.
