wanderlust1955 Posted August 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2015 We are spending 4 days in Barcelona then doing a side trip to Venice before returning to Barcelona for our flight home. Really don't want to drag all of our luggage with us to Venice so we hope to store it at BCN. Our flight to Venice leaves at 06:15. #1. what would be the best way to get to the airport that early in the morning from the center of Barcelona #2. how much time should we allow to get to the luggage storage area then back up to check in for our flight? Any suggestions please?
MADflyer Posted August 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2015 If you are flying from Terminal 1 with Vueling or Iberia *same aircraft, you will have a luggage storage open 24 hours at the terminal. If you are flying to Venice Treviso from Terminal 2, they do not open that location until 6AM for luggage storage. http://www.aena.es/csee/Satellite/Aeropuerto-Barcelona/en/Page/1045569607407//Left-Luggage-Office.html#Left Luggage Office You always want to anticipate some issue and should be at the airport 2 hours prior to your flight. Even though you can check in online, baggage drop will close 40 minutes prior to the flight and you must pass through security at least 20 minutes prior to flight. A taxi from the center will be easy to arrange. Most taxi stands are full 24 hours a day. If your hotel is remote you may want to book one. It will only take 20 minutes to the airport at that early hour. Another option that might work would be to contact Delivery Warehouse and see if they can do a hotel to airport transfer for you and hold the bags for a few days. http://www.deliverywarehouse.es/
