Gallery One to POM

We are staying in Fort Lauderdale at the Gallery One Hotel for a few days before our cruise out of POM in February. We have always stayed in Miami pre-cruise but decided to mix it up a bit this time. What is the best way to get from our hotel to POM on departure day? We've used SAS in the past from FLL to Miami but wasn't sure if there was a better way when not leaving directly from the airport. There are 4 of us traveling. Thanks for any help :)

We stayed at Doubletree Gallery One and used Johns car service to take us to the ship. There were 10 of us. You could also just take a cab and if you get a van cab the 4 of you and your luggage should fit.

Are you renting a car?

I would and then take the scenic route to Miami via US 1 and stop somewhere fun like Le Tub for lunch. You'll have to get off US 1 and go around the port and through the airport but it is a fairly easy and pleasant drive.
