diy dave Posted February 24, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2012 My wife and I have done the dateline cruise before, as well as two other captain cook cruises in Fiji. Both on the original Reef escape, which was driven ashore a couple of years ago in a cyclone, and the reef endeavour. You have picked the best itinerary as far as we are concerned, this cruise stays out for the full seven night as against going back to port denauru after 3 or 4 nights to change passengers. This cruise is all about seeing the fiji people as they really are. Village and school excursions are the best. We are both itching to go again. We once did the 6 night blue lagoon trip on the fiji princess, but Captain cook is better in our opinion. diy dave Posted February 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2012 Have a look on youtube for captain cook cruises, try and find the one called "World travellers captain cook cruises farewell". Its filmed on the back deck as the passengers get ready to disembark. They do this at the end of every cruise, and it still brings a tear to our eyes.
