Princess lodges...air conditioning?

As I get closer to my first trip to Alaska I have been checking accuweather and looks like temps could be in upper 70s. Wondering if the Princess lodges have air conditioning and if it cools down at night considering the sun is up so long?

Some do, some don't. Depends on the property. Fairbanks Princess rooms do have a/c. I don't know a single person in Alaska that has it in their home. It just doesn't make sense for the two days a year we might need it. When we get a "heat wave" in the high 70's there's a rush on Home Depot for box fans, though. :D It will cool down at night, though how much depends on what time of year you are here.

Hummm... We live in Fairbanks where we expect to have summer highs in the +80s to +90s. And our custom built home does have air conditioning.

While I have been inside the restaurant and break-out rooms of the Fairbanks Princess I've never seen the interior of a guest room. But we have stayed at the other Princess properties in the state, and I don't remember air conditioning in any of them. However, the windows do have screens and open.

We stayed at the Mckinley Lodge and Denali logs in August and they had box fans available in the closets of the rooms. Did not feel the need to use them.

The rooms in the Kenai Princess and the Copper River Princess do not have air conditioning.

That's great! Where I live, it's an extremely rare amenity.
