Hertz rental return in FLL/taxi to pier

We will be renting a car and driving to the cruise; returning the car at Ft Lauderdale airport (Hertz rental). Is it hard to grab a taxi from there to the pier? Do we have a long walk (with luggage) from the rental return location (garage?) to where the taxis are located?

There's a Hertz desk at the Crowne Plaza hotel at 455 SE 24th St, just outside of the cruise terminal. They have a free van shuttle to the ships. Perhaps you should change your reservation to drop there instead of the airport. It shouldn't cost any more.
