Baltimore pre-cruise with 5 year old

We will be driving to Baltimore next weekend from NJ. We're trying to decide whether to arrive day of cruise or the day before. We only want to come the day before if we are going to take advantage of being in Baltimore. Other than the aquarium, is there something to do that would interest a 5 year old?

The Bmore zoo is great too, and the B&O Railroad Museum can be cool as well.
