Appleton Rum tour

Any recent information on Appleton Rum tours? We'll be there in January but RCI isn't offering an excursion. I did a search and there doesn't see to be any recent updates or information on tours that go there from Falmouth.

I've done the Appleton Rum Factory Tour twice now. It is a pretty long drive from any of the cruise piers. It was a lot of fun though. Comments:

* Admission was about $20 per person - that included a free rum punch.

* Guides are excellent and very informative.

* You will really learn how rum was made a long time ago and how it is made today.

* The place is surprisingly "green". Almost everything is recycled and re-used.

* The tour lasts about 30-45 minutes.

* After the tour, your guide will bring you a separate tasting room. The guide will describe all of the various rums and them leave you to sample to your hearts delight.

* Gift shop to purchase rum and a nice bar/restaurant.

These were private tours. Actually, I have never cruised to Jamaica. Only stayed in villas there.
