Rare Beamafar Posted May 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2017 (edited) MSC Cruises has revealed the names and concepts for the two Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows that will be performed onboard the new MSC Meraviglia. According to MSC: VIAGGIO, the first of two shows, is the story of a passionate and eccentric artist who hears the call of his Faceless Muse. Mysterious and seductive, she beckons him into the vivid world of his unbridled imagination to complete his masterpiece. With each stroke of his paintbrush, the painter reveals the details of his grandiose tableau. Electrifying colors fill the space with intriguing motifs and rich textures. Majestic acts transform the theater into a living canvas. Before our very eyes, a masterpiece comes to life. SONOR, the second show, with sound at its heart, takes guests on an auditory adventure with dancers, acrobats and characters, all moving to the rhythm. Conjuring a world of unique sensations, astonishing sounds, bold music and immersive projections, SONOR culminates in a grand finale for the senses. The dining experience will start one hour before the show begins and will include what MSC called “surprise animation from performers, live music, stylish table settings topped with a table d'hôte three-course menu of eclectic dishes." Cirque du Soleil will create eight original shows available on MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia-class ships. Edited May 18, 2017 by Beamafar

Rare Beamafar Posted May 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 19, 2017 I can't decide which of the 2 to choose, though Viaggio sounds more appealing. Perhaps I'll just have to go to both to see which one is the better
Pingus Posted May 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2017 Alas, we won't have the possibility to choose as we sail on 2nd of July, but are booked to the one show running at that time.
Rare Beamafar Posted May 19, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted May 19, 2017 ................. but are booked to the one show running at that time. Why do you think there will only be one show running? According to the info: "Each show will span 40 minutes, and both will be available six nights a week".

Rare Beamafar Posted May 20, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted May 20, 2017 Pete (Skier52) has posted the following on another thread: Each show will offer its own unique cocktail or dinner experience, with space for 120 guests to dine with the remainder enjoying the Cocktail & Show. All detail from the table settings, the costumes, the music and visual effects through to the menus have been specially designed to complement each pre-show experience. The dining experience will start one hour before the show performance begins with surprise animation from performers, live music, stylish table settings topped off with a table d'hôte three-course menu. Other guests will be able enjoy a Cocktail & Show experience that will begin 30 minutes before the performance starts and will include a specially designed signature cocktail and treats. Cirque du Soleil at Sea can be pre-booked by guests either before the cruise or once on board. Places in the theatre are limited to 413 seats. The Dinner & Show will be charged at €35 and the Cocktail & Show for €15. It appears that you have to book either the cocktail & show package or dinner & show package.
