First time in Barbados, tour or beach/snorkel on our own?

I have read many reviews and have used a lot of the advice. My husband and I have been to most of the Caribbean ports, some a few repeat visits. For a first time visit we usually like to take a tour to get the essence of the island. We have our own snorkel gear and love tours that include that option.

At this point we are planning on taxi and snorkel to the turtle/shipwreck area. Can anyone recommend something that includes both? We are not lay on the beach all day people and we like to learn about the islands we visit.

Thank you
