soxfan1495 Posted April 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2012 We are considering a Princess cruise in Europe with our children (ages 16 and 13) for July or August 2013. We have not used the kids clubs on other cruise lines we have used before, but our kids like to have some company their own ages. We are wondering if there are other families that have used Princess for Eastern Med, Baltic, British Isles, or Norway cruises, who could comment. Would there be more teenagers on one itinerary versus the others?
Ula Posted April 22, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2012 We cruised the Med during summer on Princess. There were lots of teens. You should sign up for the roll call. We planned many private tours through the roll call so met many of the teens who were also going on the tours. Great age for such a trip. The teens had a great time in the clubs, how they had the energy after touring all day is still a mystery.
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2012 In my opinion after Disney, Princess has the best kids programs. You will find a fair number of children at the ages of your own in the summer with Princess. Keith
Onessa Posted April 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2012 We've done multiple European cruises with our DD (now 16YO) five since she turned 12YO and aged out of the traditional kids programs into the teens program. Once they get to be teens, it is much less about the program and more about meeting up with other kids their age and then some activities they can share. DD has spent very little time in the teen club and/or in teen club sponsored activities. She generally just finds kids her age and they "hang out" The European itineraries are much more port intensive so the activities on-board are a bit less important than they are when you are on a ship with more at-sea time. We've done RCCI, Celebrity, and Princess, and she said she didn't necessarily like any one more than another because of the ship or line, more that she liked certain cruises a bit more than others because of the kids she met on one versus another. DD loves cruising Europe - and this August we'll be sailing out of Copenhagen.
