Local tour company in Mauritius?

We are on back-to-back Voyages of Discovery cruises in December 2014 which will give us an overnight in Port Louis, Mauritius. We are looking for a local tour company there to help us put together an overnight tour that includes some wildlife viewing. Does anyone have experience with such a company?

My parents have cruised to Mauritius numerous times from South Africa, and if I recall correctly they will usually just hire a taxi driver for the day. That might be an alternative if you cannot find a tour group.

You can easily do Mauritius on your own. Taxis are relatively cheap but you have to bargain and be aware of scammers. Just rent a taxi for the day, the island is easy to get around.
