cruise1804 Posted August 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2013 Hi All, Am I right in thinking that there are no set activities for kids of 12 and above? We are going on Adventure of the Seas next week and when I have looked at AO compass postings it doesn't mention anything on there for that age group. We will be also going with our two younger kids who are 10 and 7. Of the three our 12 yr old is less likely to try new stuff so if I have to "suggest" he goes along I'm thinking he might not, I.e if its not an organised event? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
reallyitsmema Posted August 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2013 The teen area is separate from Adventure Ocean. They have their own activities. Your 12 yr old can come and go as he pleases, there is no signing in and out and things are less stuctured though there are planned activities. Depending on the sailing, there is either one group 12-17 yrs old or two groups, 12-14 and 15-17. Make sure he goes the first night so he gets to meet all the other kids. reallyitsmema Posted August 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2013 This is a review of the teen area on a different ship but it should give you some idea what to expect for him. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=39312286&postcount=85 If you watch that review, the poster has said they will post teen compasses, hopefully later today.
