Question for Bequia

Right now we are booked at the Hampton Inn in Plantation for Dec. 15. (we are driving down the day before). I understand they will shuttle to cruise pier but not return. How far is it from the pier and what would a taxi cost?

Also, have a chance to book Hilton Gdn. Inn in Dania on Stirling. Better deal and looks closer. Is it a safe area? Are there any restaurants closeby?

Would appreciate any help you could give.

Barb, the cab ride back to the Hampton Inn should be around $24. IMHO the Plantation area is nicer then the Stirling Road location with a greater selection of restaurants and shopping. I'd feel better leaving my car for a week at the HI in Plantation or the LaQuinta in Hollywood then anywhere on Stirling Road. None of the hotels transport from the pier back to the hotel.
