We are a couple of Aussies - wondering what there is to do on a Sunday night in Kahului, Maui? We will be going to the volcano during the day and to Lahaina on Monday. Will be staying overnight onboard Pride of America

Any thoughts please??

when we took a 10 day Hawaii cruise in 2009, we purchased a gold card for $30 from hawaiifun dot org. We were able to use it in all the ports with significant savings. Take a look at what is available in Maui before you order it and see if there is anything to your liking. In Kuhai we actually boarded the same excursion bus that others from the ship paid $49 while we only paid $7. Enjoy your Hawaii cruise. It is so beautiful there.

Check to see if there are any shows at the Arts and Cultural Centre in Kahului. If your trip is still a ways off, have a look at the calendar closer to your trip.

The best luaus in Hawaii are on Maui (in Lahaina) - the Old Lahaina Luau and Feast at Lele. I think they are on every day. The earlier you book, the closer to the stage your seats will be. A rental car would be your best option for getting there and back as taxis are very expensive.
