What to wear?

I and Hubby are going on the 3 day Highland fling on the Spirit later this month. Does anyone know of there will be a formal night? Not sure what clothes to pack for the evening. Don't want to be overdressed but at the same time don't want to look scruffy. Many thanks. :o

Hi Anglesonian - :) I really can't answer your question and from the lack of response I think perhaps others are in the same position. I think as these short cruises aren't too frequent I guess many like me haven't had experience of the format re dining on a cruise of this kind.

I would be surprised if there was a formal night though and even if there was I wouldn't expect many people to have taken dj's or suits for a mini cruise. But you never know!

I would just go for smart casual - smart trousers and button through shirt (long or short sleeved) and for ladies whatever you might wear to go to a nice restaurant - smart trousers and pretty top or dress.

Perhaps someone who has done a similar trip will be able to give you the benefit of their experience but I'd settle for something middle of the road but smart - and importantly something you will feel comfortable wearing.
