They do hide when it is very hot. This was at the Safari Park. We were there only from 9 to 11.

 

It wasn't that hot, but maybe it was too hot for the critters.

 

My local zoo (the NC Zoo) lion family increased by four July 30. The new cubs haven't been named yet and won't go on exhibition until fall. Time for a trip with fully charged batteries this time. Pretty sure we'll have to fight the crowds unless we can go during the week.

Beautiful photos as usual!

Love the wildlife and flower photos. Not so much flowers here right now as it has been unusually warm and dry.
