LAX-Terminal 3 to Terminal 2

We are scheduled to fly out of our local airport,ACV, at 6:00 am.Will arrive at LAX terminal 3 at 8:55am.Our connecting flight on Hawaiian Airlines departs

from Terminal 2 at 10:30am.Will 1.5 hrs be enough time to get to Terminal 2 and through security?We will do online check-in and have our luggage checked through to Honolulu when we board at ACV.I'm a bit concerned about the time frame,what do you think?

This could all be a moot point if the first flight is delayed in any way. I've flown into LAX several times in that morning period and about 1/2 of the time I've been late up to 45 minutes due to early morning fog in the vicinity.

I have done the T3-T2 (and vice-versa) connection a number of times. Very doable, though you will want to be sure not to dawdle. In T3, you'll will want to stay on the arrival level - don't take the long escalator down towards baggage claim, but look for the ticketing level (past gate 30). You will have to exit the secure area and then walk over to T2. Best way is to go outside onto the sidewalk, as it can get congested inside. At the curb, turn left and walk over to T2. The entry to the concourse is at the far end, past the ticket counters. You will get an ID check, then up an escalator to the security station. Decent, but not great selection of places to grab a snack if you like.

T3 and T2 are the oldest terminals at LAX - T3 reminds me of all the old movies and TV shows that were filmed there, and hasn't been renovated/remodeled in all those years.

I know the fog here in Northern CA. can be a problem for arrivals and departures,but I really hadn't considered the weather factor in LA. Something to think about.Provided travel plans proceed as scheduled,it is reassuring to know the connection is doable.
