What is best machine to use for Slot Pull?

Recommended Posts

I am organizing a slot pull for our cruise. Not being a slot player, what is the best machine to use for the group?

Also, has anyone got suggestions for the setup?

I've read to not let the casino pick the machine.

Pick a machine on the aisle.

Can the slot pull be organized while on-board or can it be organized prior to the cruise? (I'd like to be sure enough t-shirts of various sizes are available - our last cruise only had size medium).

Any help would be great. Thanks.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Melissa at Mohair Meadows: The slot you choose doesn't really matter. You should choose something like Wheel of Fortune. Everyone usually loves that game and they understand it. You could either organize it before you go or after you get on board. Which ever way you choose to go will probably have some last minute changes anyway. You should choose the slot machine you use not the casino. Most of all, have fun.

I always set the pull up well in advance. Cannot arrange with casino. Have always asked for opinions from those interested regarding day and time that I had picked. Now and then, some slight adjustments. Here are our rules.

SLOT PULL

CASINO - Sept. 17 - 1:30 pm

*( if the 17th. is a formal nite, it will move to the 18th.)

Wheel of Fortune machine

$15 entry buys 5 pulls at $3 per pull

Sign up at the M&G or at the machine

Sign in and pay at machine

Play in order of sign in

Late sign in ok as long as first round is playing

No replay entries after game start

By group vote, additional rounds may be played

for those interested.

Payout will be the share, paid out rounded down

to the closest dollar and left over change will

go to the person who has won the greatest amount

for the group. (don't have to worry about the small change,

pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters to pay out)

Wife will be book keeper (full disclosure of money)

and will start the round. I will anchor the team.

Hope this helps. Have fun. ;)

so I can watch and if the gang is winning $6000 I can sign up...and if not winning, then I can just decide not to play. A strange rule but very beneficial to those patient with their money.

No sign up while game is in play. Sign in for those who signed up at the M&G.

The only ones I've attended were set up to the casino host and the casino gave away multiple bottles of wine, as gifts for first second third place winners etc. I've heard of others that have been given several different items hey , free is free

With Slot and Black Jack set up by the casino you compete against all players.

With a slot pull, everyone plays together against one machine and receives equal shares of any winnings.

Casinos do this to make quick money. Usually $20 to enter. Payout is very small for the winners compaired to the cash that they take in. With slots, any winning pulls just add to the persons score. No money. IE: if 50 people enter the slot tourney the casino takes in $1000 and may give away a couple of bottles of wine, XXXl tee shirts. On Carnival, you may even win the coveted ship on a stick.

Oh I'm sorry ! I didn't make myself clear, it was organized by a lady at the meet and greet and then coordinated with the casino person ( maybe guest services ) we did the exact same thing .we all put $15 in and it was just the members in our small group .but the casino did give bottles of wine for first, second and third. Or they were given to the lady that hosted the slot pull and she chose to give it for first , second and third place. We didn't win very much so with unanimous decision we LET it ride

I have tried to work with the casino manager but never had that sort of luck. Oh well, I will keep trying. ;)

Last Feb. we won $45 each. (18 people). The time before, we played one round of 5 pulls and went around again with 2 pulls each on that round. With what we had left, we did the Democratic thing.

Voted on what to do with it. Roulette won. Then Black won the vote. One spin win or lose. Yep. You guessed it. LOST

The one slot pull we participated in developed a glitch. We had about 60 people involved and were letting it ride after each person did their pulls.

At one point the machine froze and wouldn't allow any more play. It seemed the machine had maxed out. (It was a Wheel of Fortune machine). We had to cash out keeping track of the money at that point and start again from zero.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I would have cashed out, given everyone their share and started with everyone who wanted to play on as if it was the start. Sounds like everyone had some cash in their pocket. :D
