oceanbug Posted January 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2006 We are taking our first Radisson cruise (Mariner) can you please tell me what is considered county club casual. I noticed some mention that men wear jackets to diner, is this the norm? Our trip will be 9 nights, will there be one or two formal evenings? Also any info on the ship will be appreciated. Thank you.
hvsteve1 Posted January 23, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2006 Cuntry club casual is basically nice slacks and a shirt with no tie. Some fussier people think the shirt should be button down. Some people like to dress up,but that's to get a more special feel with the elegant meals. Most have to get a little dressier for Signatures or Latitudes. Formal nights depend on your cruise...i.e. there is none on the Alaska cruises.
Jim B Posted January 23, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2006 You have THREE different dress codes. 1. Formal = Tux or dark suit 2. IN FORMAL = Men are asked to wear a sports coat but no tie. 3. COUNTRY CLUB CASUAL = Polos, print, or any kind of shirt with slacks. NO coat required. Now your cruise may have all of these or just country club casual. Depends on where you are going. gopackgo Posted January 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2006 I might be wrong here, but I recall Informal meaning a suit coat and a tie for the men. I know Signatures is supposedly Informal and most of the men had on suit coats and ties, and some even full suits. (I may be totally off the tie requirement). For the ladies, CCC means almost anything that is nicer casual wear like nice slacks and tops. Informal means a step up like a dress, skirt or nicer slacks and tops. Formal means long dresses, fancy shorter dresses or fancy slacks outfits. Women can pretty much wear anything that looks nice and add a little glitter with jewelry here and there. Jim B Posted January 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2006 No in the book it says just coat. Ties are optional but I will agree that most men did seem to go ahead and wear one. Signatures is always informal unless the night is formal aboard the ship. 03/22/80 Commodore MS Caribe 02/15/03 Radisson Paul Gauguin 02/22/04 Norwegian Dream (ick) 11/12/04 Seven Seas Mariner "MINT" 02/15/05 Radisson Diamond "ADRIFT" 12/27/05 Seven Seas Voyager "PARTY" 01/09/07 Seven Seas Mariner "AMAZON"
