Carnival Question for VIFP

Good day everyone. Quick question here, my wife and I are currently booked for a 7 day cruise. We are also currently sitting on 68 sea days. My understanding is that when you check in for your cruise at the port to get on the boat, they will give you whatever level of status you will achieve for that cruise. In our case we are 7 exact days from becoming Platinum with Carnival. Any one have any definitive knowledge of how this will work for us in this case. Not being weird here, just would love to be able to do some free laundry on the ship with our new status. Thanks in advance for responding to my question. Happy Sails to you!

Even if you're 75day is debarkation day, you'll be Platinum the entire cruise. (Mom got Diamond this way.) Your boarding pass and luggage tags will say 'Priority'.
