Yes you can. We had two adjoining rooms and we could open the divider between our balconies.

Are we supposed to get this approved ahead of time? Someone said earlier we could just ask the steward to have the dividers opened once we get there.

Yes..just ask the cabin attendant...no need to request in advance. The balcony partitions are designed to open on this ship.

Yes, just ask your stateroom attendant. If it's allowed, he/she will open it for you.
