Va. Plumber Posted October 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Which bus goes from Dockyard to Fairmont Southampton #7 or #8? Would be going on a Monday.
sebas030 Posted October 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2014 The hotel is on the south shore road, so it will be bus#7, there is a stop right next to it. Ask the bus driver to point it out for you, it should be one stop before Horseshoe Bay. 17 days to go !!!
ComeOnLetsGo Posted October 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2014 The above poster is correct however I would recommend the #8 because Fairmont Southampton has a shuttle that has a designated pick-up/drop-off location next to the bus stop. Just let the driver know you would like to get off at the Fairmont Southampton. Enjoy your time.

njhorseman Posted October 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Going golfing Va. Plumber? FYI, for the golfers...you are not permitted to take your golf clubs on the buses, so you either have to take a taxi or rent clubs at the golf course. Va. Plumber Posted October 9, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted October 9, 2014 Sorry, no golf. Plan on going Monday afternoon for tea. Bus pass is a lot cheaper than taxi fare. We will do Horseshoe Beach in A.M. Tuesday we will do Hamilton and Dockyard You already know what's on tap for Sunday.

If I understand the above correctly, you will visit Horseshoe Bay and visit Fairmont Southampton after the beach. If this is the case you can walk over to Fairmont Southampton's beach area and take the shuttle to the hotel. Near the car park (at Horseshoe Bay) there is a path that you'll walk though to get to Fairmont Southampton's beach area. Enjoy.
Va. Plumber Posted October 10, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted October 10, 2014 I figure we might be a little underdressed to go straight from the beach to high tea.
