Cruise Ship Pier to Philipsburg...walkable?

We are on a Celebrity Summit soon and was wondering if we could walk from where the cruise ship docks to the downtown area of Philipsburg.

Yes. We did. Doesn't take long. If we had been with little kids under 4 or elderly folks that have a hard time walking distances...we would have just taking the water taxi. But if you are able bodied and not in a hurry, it is a fine walk.

If we do take a water taxi (if its hot that day), where would we do this, at the same pier as the cruise ship?

Very easy to find...yes...on the same pier...$6 or 7.00pp round trip (at least is was last time we were there)...just follow everyone else...as most all will take the water taxi across the bay into town. Enjoy !!
