question for New Yorkers

Recommended Posts

I am cruising from New York for a weekend cruise. Looking to take Amtrak or Greyhound since we want to stay in Washington DC a few days before.
My question is---how far is Penn Station from the pier? Does any one know the cost of a cab?

Any help or suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated. THANKS>

I would say Penn Station is about 1 mile from the pier, definitely less than 2 miles. The cab fares just went up but I can't imagine it to be over $10.

There are always cabs around Penn Station- pier is too far to walk with any luggage- about a mile- and fare would be in the neighborhood of $10

Are you sure you leave from NYC? I thought that RCCL is going to leave from Bayonne NJ now. Definitely more than a $10 fare from Penn Station.
