Adult only ships - minimum age?

What is the minimum age for passengers on adult only P&O ships?

I always assumed that it would be 18 but my daughter informed me today that a travel agent had told her friend's family that it was 15 when recently trying to sell them a cruise holiday after the cancellation of their booked holiday due to essential building works being carried out.

Was the travel agent giving out duff info?

I can't see it in the information on the P&O website but it must be there somewhere. A dummy booking allows a 14 year old to book without it being picked up on the system.

I am glad that my daughter's friend and her family decided not to book with that particular travel agent then as it could have been quite awkward for them turning up at Southampton with an under age passenger. This particular travel agent had already messed up their original holiday booking and now my suspicions are confirmed that they continue to give out duff information. I will make a point of finding out who the agents are and make sure that I never venture through their doors at any time in the future.
