Taxi fare from mahagany to west end

Hello we will be in roatan next week.... Can't wait. Has any one taken a taxi recently from Mahagany Bay to West End- the little funky town. Do you know the cost round trip per person?? Thanks!!

The taxis are unregulated on Roatan... (why the private drivers are so popular on Roatan. )

A cab can charge whatever they want.

Not regulated set prices like in Mexico, etc...

That is the price at the port, taxis are just outside of the information booth. Two story building with a re roof which you can see from upper decks.

Walk up the hill and out to the street and you may be able to negotiate a lower price.

For sure get away from M Bay to find the cab. But I'd still guess that you pay $40 each way for two. M Bay is further away than Coxen Hole.
