swimming with spaniels Posted March 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Hi there can anyone recommend a cruise where we stand a fair chance of seeing the northern lights please! Preferably sailing out of Southampton? Hoping to take our eldest daughter with us later in the year - thank you! jocap Posted April 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2015 I've seen some pictures on Facebook from various people who've been on such cruises this winter; as far as I can remember, they were from P&O ships, but I believe that Fred Olsen and Cruise and Maritime also do these cruises. One was fairly recent, because it took in the eclipse off the Faroe Isles before going north; I think it was on Oriana (P&O) if you Google. :)
gaelsail Posted April 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Some leave from Southampton, others from Tilbury. Also look for 'Winter cruises' and 'Snow Shoes & Ski-Doos'.
Rare insidecabin Posted April 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2015 they got the northern light this year on the extra Eclipse cruises. Hurtigruten run ships up the Artic all year
