Best place to snorkel Grand Turk, Freeport or HMC?

Not big on expensive excursions but I do want a good place to snorkel for DD. This is the first cruise she's not been afraid of the sea life and wants to snorkel. Any recommendations on places to go?

Any suggestions?

Grand Turk is great. There is a "wall" not far off shore. Last time we were there, we went with a private company and snorkeled above the wall. There was also a school of sleeping barracudas (about 20-30) sleeping on the bottom, at about 30 feet down. Water is as clear as crystal.

I've never snorkeled Freeport. Half Moon Cay was okay at best.

Its not even close. Grand Turks is miles ahead of the other 2.

There is incredible snorkeling in Freeport at Peterson Cay. You can kayak out to island, then snorkel completely around. Awesome sights.

Do you need to do an excursion for snorkeling in GT?

Is there good snorkeling in front of Jack's?

We have always snorkeled at Paradise Reef in Freeport. Great people, food, drinks, and lots of ocean critters all around the reef.

Grand Turk! The Wall is awesome, but the best reefs are at Long Cay.
