Cruising from New York?

Does anyone know if/when Disney plans to cruise from New York? On their website they list NY as a port, but when you try and search for cruises it's not an option. Just wondering if they plan to cruise from there again anytime soon. Thanks.

Probably not a departing port, but they do/did stop in NY on the translantic. On the website you see Mickey & the Statue of Liberty but it is a tease. No NY departures in 2014 or 2015. Some folks going on the translantic were planning on getting on in NY instead of Florida, and Disney did allow that. We did go on the cruise to Canada from NYC and it was great not having to fly anywhere. We can hope, but I don't think so.

Disney apparently were happy with the one summer the Magic was sailing out of NY. There was some DCL talk about returning , but no year or dates were set.

With only 4 ships, there are many itineraries that will command higher prices than NYC to Bahamas so that's where they will go first. If they identify a softness in one of their markets maybe they will stash a ship in NYC for a while, but I wouldn't expect it any time soon, especially with the competition in the market coming up (Breakaway now and Quantum soon)

Hmmm...I'm on the May 2015 Transatlantic from Port Canaveral that stops in New York, but I hadn't heard that DCL was allowing passengers to board in NY.
