Vision OTS Royal Suite as

Recommended Posts

i decided to splurge on the Royal Suite. Well, actually it wasn't much of a splurge because it is only a 5 day cruise and I got it during a sale. Paying less for it than many other suites we have sailed in so I figured what the heck!

My question is, can anyone who has stayed in it tell me what to expect as far as room amenities and perks. Thanks!

Thanks Bob but that is what we have experienced when staying in an Owner's Suite. I'm wanting to know if there is anything more for the Royal Suite on Vision. I read that on one of the other ships, I think it was Rhapsody, the Concierge met you at check in and escorted you to the suite. The hotel director also welcomed you. There were drinks and snacks waiting, fresh flowers everyday. They had a table reserved in Chops where you could go anytime they wanted. Things like that on Vision is what I am curious about.

We meet a very nice couple in a Royal suite on Navigator a couple of years ago they invited us for drinks in the suite there was a huge platter of shrimp and other thing and a couple of bottles of wine that they told us was sent to them, take some piano lessons to play baby grand which is in living room, concierge paid extra special attention to them ( do not think they cared for that) they also got a captains table invite ( again not sure if it was because of the suite but sure it didn't hurt) , wish Vision stayed in area a little longer since as you said prices for it were reasonable

Just off Serenade in the RS. Bottle of White Star, no flowers, no extra food delivered. Nice toiletries in both baths, always restocked. Some of this is up to the ship I guess. Staff often recognizes what cabin you are in when you show sea pass card. Got the captains table invite, it was a good time, Laura seated next to captain.

Some things unique to our suite. The baby grand player rarely played past the 5th song on the CD. It would show a formatting error. The light switches, and there are a lot, don't all work. Spent a lot of time trying to shut lights off at night. This is going to digital controls at drydock we were told. The PS3 needs the encryption codes updated to play recent Blu Rays. Bring your own, the concierge doesn't have any. It's hard to tell if the steam shower is on or not. Give it at least ten minutes to warm up. Came back to suite one day and it had been on all day. It really puts out a lot of steam.

All in all it was a good time, something to check off the bucket list.
