BethersD Posted November 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2015 Just wondering if anyone has visited the Firehouse Museum? Is it walkable from the pier? We will be in Key West in January with our two boys (ages 7 & 3) and are wondering if this is something they would enjoy. Thanks

Thanks I've never been there but without knowing which dock you will come into the museum is on the corner of Virginia and Grinnell, so it's about 10 blocks up Duval, then five short blocks over, so it's not a very long hike, and you could take a cab over and walk back. http://www.keywestfirehousemuseum.com/ The Wrecker's Museum and Sponge Garden and Shell store are much closer. keywester33 Posted November 16, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2015 The Firehouse Museum is a nice, small museum. They have a good website including an idea of the exhibits they have. The link is here: http://www.keywestfirehousemuseum.com/Home.php It is about 1.5 miles walk through a beautiful part of Old Town. Walk down Eaton Street or Fleming to Grinnel, then south to the museum. I would guess it's about 30 minutes walk. If you're interested, the firehouse museum is very close to El Siboney which is one of the most authentic Cuban Restaurants in Key West and very kid friendly.
