We are visiting Falmouth Jamaica in few weeks and I was wondering if any one has taken the Rose Hall All Inclusive Beach day. It is available as a cruise excursion but I want to know if anyone has taken the tour on there own and which what company? Please provide any information you think will be helpful.

We did it on our own and booked with ResortForADay. We have used this company twice now and had nothing but good things to say about them. We have used them in Montego Bay and also Ocho Rios.

I did a complete review with TONS of pictures, which you will find in my signature line if you are interested. :)

We also did this on our own and used a taxi to get there. It was very easy and was a nice day. The taxi will come back for you but there are also taxis waiting at the hotel. We just wanted to be able to control our own timing. The beach is ok but our kids liked the pools better. We all had a lot of fun in the lazy river and on the slides. The food was good too. Try the jerk chicken from the guy who wheels his cart around - YUMMY!

DW and I did Rose Hall on our 2013 cruise. We booked thru JamaicaForADay. it wasn't offered thru our cruise ship at that time. The resort is wonderful, but I was anxious all because I was always thinking something would happen and we would miss the ship leaving Falmouth. If you book a private excursion the ship wont wait, but if it is a ship's excursion they will wait.

Now the cruise line offers it but it is more expensive booking thru the cruise line, but a lot more peace of mind.

I absolutely agree with having peace of mind by booking with the cruise ship, but also every excursion that I have been on privately (with a reputable vendor researched on here) has always taken us back WAY before it was time to get on the ship...usually a few hours early. It's their reputation on the line and also future business that most will do everything possible to assure you have plenty of time to get back (factoring in traffic and such) and plenty of time left over to do some shopping in port as well. :) RFAD will ask you what time you want to return, so you can factor in how much time to give yourself.

I guess it all depends on someones comfort level at doing this type of thing.
