Exit Glacier shuttle Seward

Does anyone have any experience of this excursion ? It is apparently only $10 for a roundtrip to the face of the glacier, leaving from mid-town Seward...

We will have 2 days pre-cruise in Seward arriving by train on Saturday morning and plan to visit Seavey's sled dog kennels on Saturday afternoon and then maybe take this shuttle to Exit Glacier on Sunday morning.

The Sea Life Center is also on our list...

Any other ideas on our shoestring budget ?

Thanks.

You might want to time your shuttle to Exit Glacier so that you can take a ranger-led walk or enjoy other ranger activities.

We enjoyed wandering around the harbor, watching the fishermen come in with their catch, weigh and clean. It's a busy harbor with lots of activity. There's a waterfront path that leads from the harbor to the small downtown area. It's a flat path, about 1 mile. Watch for bald eagles and best of all the otters playing just off shore. The path ends near the Sealife Center. A taxi back either way will be under $10.

Look thru the town web site for info. http://www.seward.com/

View the town video to get an idea of the size..

There is also a free shuttle that picks up/drops off passengers at the cruise dock and goes all around the town.

It doesn't go out to exit glacier, but stops close to the exit glacier shuttle pickup, so easy transfer from one to the other for those who don't want to walk.

Thank you ! Thank you !

I dont know what I would have done without all the wonderful people on this Board....I planned everything for this 3 week vacation by myself and would not have been able to do so without your constant helpful answers and suggestions...

We are now one week away from leaving home and I can safely say that we have just about everything under control...

Thanks again.
