Looking for Ron Barcelo Rum in La Romana

We spent a week down in Punta Cana and became very fond of Ron Barcelo Rum. Does anyone know of a store close to the port(On the Carnival Breeze) that sells it? It's not available in the area we live and I am not sure if even in the US. It's a great rum and we would like to bring back a couple bottles.

You can buy it at Crown Wine & Spirits in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and other SE Florida locations.

Your best bet is to try to find a local grocery store in a town near the port. It will cost a fraction of what it costs in a tourist trap near the port. While you're there, buy some Dominican coffee. Much of what is sold in the US as Colombian coffee is actually from the DR. Excellent coffee! And you can pour some of your delicious rum into it for an after-dinner delight!

Thank you for the information. I found it at Crown Liquors on their website. Should be able to get it there, but it would be much cheaper in DR! May check out the store while we are there!

Since it's made near Santo Domingo, you probably won't have any trouble finding it in or near La Romana (as Wassup4565 posted, try a non-tourist shop). If you go to where it's made, San Pedro de Macorís, you can even take a tour of the production facility.
