San Pedro Port vs. Long Beach Port

Recommended Posts

From what I've read, the San Pedro port is next to the Long Beach port. I am looking for parking at the San Pedro port and have found the Queen Mary parking structure that has an area for cruise ship passengers to park in. Are the ports close enough that parking at the Long Beach lot would be a good idea?

Any other ideas for where to park for San Pedro? I believe that is where my ship sails from, but when I try to look online, it says there are no details about the port, yet. The cruise is not until March.

Long Beach and San Pedro are about 10 miles apart. Only Carnival uses Long Beach for the beginning and end of cruises. All other cruise lines are at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro. And therefore the parking structure is usually at capacity with 3 ships cruising out of Long Beach.

Also it is cheaper to park at the port in San Pedro. Long Beach is $19/day.

If you plan on driving down to the port on the day of the cruise, then the only option is to park at the port in San Pedro. Or if you stay overnight, there are hotels in San Pedro that have Cruise and Stay packages.
