FLUFFLULA Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 We are four adults in late 50's and 60's and we will be on the Adventure of the Seas in July that includes St. John's, Antiqua. There are no ship excursions that appeal to us, but we'd like to see the area on our own since we haven't been there before. Most of the CC posts are about beaches and Nelson's Dockyard. We aren't beach people, and only 1 of us would enjoy Nelson's Dockyard based on what we've read, so we'd like to know if there are other options there may be. Thanks in advance for any ideas! blue_water Posted April 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Our two favorite experiences in Antigua while there on a cruise - Private island tour with Lawrence of Antigua. Excellent guide, very personable and respectful, nice vehicle, refreshments provided, and he will tailor the tour to your requests. See Antigua by Sea, an excursion offered through the ship. This is the Excellence, a two-tiered luxury cat with a great crew and a wonderful day snorkeling followed by a very good lunch and then sailing the Antiguan coast and harbors. An amazing day, and still some of the bluest waters we've seen. Edited April 14, 2016 by blue_water
jerrib Posted April 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2016 We had friends that did the Segways and loved the tour - http://www.segwayantigua.com/ We thoroughly enjoyed the Stingray excursion. Have done it several times in Grand Cayman but thought that this one in Antigua was much less crowded - http://www.stingraycityantigua.com/
