Seat riser - how to get one?

On another thread somebody mentioned seat riser. Can I get one in a regular cabin? It gets difficult for me to sit down and get up, and as a woman I do it every time ;)

How can I order a seat riser for me? By contacting special needs department of the cruise line?

My husband doesn't need it, can it be easily taken off/reinstalled? Can I do it myself?

Yes...special needs would be who to contact. If they are anything like home toilet extenders, you can do it, probably...they aren't heavy.

If you can't get one, how about a walker or cane to help you get up and down?

I don't know where you are based, but here in the UK you can borrow them from the Red Cross FOC, but they do like to receive a donation. You could take one of the plastic type with you as they do not weigh very much.
