nikicole Posted May 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Our trip is very tightly budgeted and for that reason, we are looking into going to the Dzibilchaltun Ruins on our own in a taxi or bus. Are the taxis and/or buses safe in Progreso? What is a general price for each of those? I've been seeing things about a public bus that runs through Merida - is that something we want to do or is that out of the way? Also, is it true that you cannot bring snacks along? Rare crewsweeper Posted May 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) You need to post this on the Progreso/Merida board. Edited May 13, 2016 by crewsweeper

I believe the most economical way to visit Dzib would be through AutoProgreso. They have a website with all the info. We have visited Dzib twice with them and never had a problem. You can bring pretty much anything you want with you on the AP bus.
