Amsterdam Pre-Cruise

Good Evening!

We're sailing on the HAL Prisendam from Amsterdam on September 6. We arrive in Amsterdam from the US on September 2, allowing a few days to visit. Our initial plan is to stay at an Airbnb location as we've had nothing but positive experiences using that service. However, we're open to other ideas.

So, any recommendations for Amsterdam accommodations?

Secondly, your thoughts on getting to the Prinsendam itself, which is docked a few miles away from Amsterdam, in the port of IJmuiden.

As in any city there so many hotels in Amsterdam. Much depends nto only on your budget but also on location.

Check e.g. booking. com or hotel.com, which can be great help.Not only for hotels but also for B&B. C heck the reviews on their site.

To mention just a few: Bank Mansion, Esterea, Renaissance, Bellevue, Marriott, Carlton, Victoria, Barbizon Palace and many many more.

By the way IJmuiden is a bit more then just a few miles from Amsterdam, it is more or less 15 miles. Best and easiest to tak the HAL shuttle or a cab. Public transport isnot that convenient.
