riddle Posted January 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Went to a little casino in St. Marten and then Atlantis in Nassau. Did well at both. Anyone go to the casinos (besides Atlantis) when on shore. Which islands have casinos close to the ports?
Grandpaul Posted January 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2013 We just stopped in Aruba and there were a couple nice casinos within walking distance of the port. Really enjoyed them.
Dicenator Posted January 18, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2013 In Aruba I think there are 11 casinos. Most of them are in the high rise area on Palm beach. You can get there by cab or public bus and once there you can walk from one to another very easily. Curacao has a bunch of casinos but I think they are more spread out in and our of Williamsted. Bonaire has 1 casino but I don't know where it is in relationship to the cruise port. St. Martin has a bunch of casinos with all of them being on the Dutch side of the island. Dominican Republic is full of casinos with most of them being in the larger resorts in Punta Cano or Puerto Plada. St. Croix has 1 casino but I'm not sure which hotel it is in but it is at a resort. St. Kitts has a very nice Marriot casino a short cab ride from the dock. Freeport in the Bahamas has 1 casino across the street from the Grand Lucaya market place. Puerto Rico has quite a few casinos, 17 total with most of them being in the Condado beach area and the Isla Verde area. There might be a few more places which aren't coming to me right now. nlktx49 Posted January 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Going to the casino is about the only thing to do in Freeport!
