The Tequila Experience by Jose Cuervo

I did it on DCL. So, assuming its the same tour, they bring you down, you tour a museum, go to a tasting where they give you three different types of Jose Cuervo, then they bring you across and they give you a margarita that they show you how to make, then have a decent lunch.

All I remember learning was that my wife didn't quite care for tequila. For the cost of the tour, couldn't let it go to waste, could I? Same for the margarita. Fortunately, made it back to the ship ok.

Did this with Carnival Splendor in Jan 2016 - it was great! Only problem - it was first thing in the morning, and I was exhausted by the time we were back on our ship - tequila, margaritas and Corona for lunch.

One question though - Does anyone have, or know where I can get, the recipe to make the chilli mango margarita that they serve at the back of the park before you tour the scale models of the Mayan temples? That was awesome, and I am having a hard time trying to find a recipe for this!!!!

Not sure if this is the same margarita recipe:

Ingredients

•20 ounces frozen mango chunks

•1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate

•2-3 cups water (depending on desired consistency)

•3 ounces good quality tequila

•dash hot sauce (optional)

•course sea salt for rim

•chili powder for rim

•lime slices for garnish

Instructions

1.In a large blender, combine mango chunks, limeade concentrate, 2 cups water, tequila, and hot sauce. Blend until well combined. You may need to add more water for a thinner consistency.

2.On a small plate, mix equal parts sea salt and chili powder.

3.Take margarita glass and rub lime wedge along half of the rim. Dip in the sea salt/chili powder mixture to coat.

4.Pour Margaritas into each glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

5.Enjoy!
