We had a cove on the magic. we loved loved it !! It s bigger and very close to the sea. we saw dolphins and flying fish! If there is a storm with high seas they might close the door but you still would have your window to lookout.. We enjoyed the privacy and being so close to the water.. i wish all the ships had them.. i would get one again.. just check the ship floors to see what is above or below your room.. Ours didnt have any noise but the kitchen is usually on one of those lower floors... have fun!

They are the best balconies on all Carnival ships, except maybe the wrap-around balconies. You just don't want to get a cove that is below the galley/kitchen. The galley runs from the midship elevators to the aft elevators. Stay forward of those, and you'll be fine. On the ships that have coves, the coves are the only balconies that look straight down to the water. The higher balconies look down onto a public deck that sticks out from the ship on deck 5. Besides, it's much better to be closer to the water than to be way high up.
