The Wall

We took a boat excursion there a few years ago. The snorkeling was OK. We have done better snorkeling excursions, but we've also done worse ones. I think it would have been better if we were divers instead of snorkelers. The wall is impressive.

Was there a few days ago. The wall is the ledge where the Island drops off from the shallows to very deep (25 foot to 7000 foot), I have to say that it's to far offshore to swim to. We a good swimmers and I wouldn't try it, my guess is that from where we were (straight off the local library) it was 3/4 mile or so. We don't dive but would to try it there because it drops straight off. There are numerous snorkeling tours that take you there. We used Crystal Seas Adventures (Capt Danny) and did the ultimate snorkel tour, 2 hours and he makes 2 - 3 stops, 1st stop is in shallow water 10 feet or so and you can see all sorts of sea life then its out to the wall. cost was $55/person. I'd say go with him if you want to do a snorkel trip.
