Passengers have a perfect day at Airlie Beach today. The webcam shot gives a good idea of how far offshore the cruise ships have to anchor.

The tenders drop you off at the Marina and then you can either walk the boardwalk around the headland into town or take the shuttle that goes up and over the hill.:)

Wish I was on board ...those are all live webcam shots as observed from my study in Orewa , NZ . My hobby , now that my own cruising has been curtailed , is following ships as they cruise the Seven Seas.

Now I do feel like a goose...lmao

When we were there, we took a (ship's tour) Catamaran direct from the ship to the outer reef for snorkling, etc. It saved a lot of time coming in and then going back out of Airlie Beach.:D
