Soda Fountain reopened on the Strand?

We are ehading down to Galveston on Friday for the week. Does anyone know if the Soda Fountain has reopened on the Strand?

Will check this week when I go to the bank.

Star Drug Store is opened. Has original soda fountain.

No, sadly, LaKing's is not back open yet. But they are working on it. Galveston cruiser had a good suggestion with Star Drug Store. They make shakes and other ice cream concoctions. And you sit at a horseshoe-shaped bar around the cooks, so it's old-timey. :)

Kitchen: Daily 9 am to 3 pm

Soda Fountain: Daily 9 am to 4 pm

Sweet Treat Happy Hour: Daily 3-4 pm

We went there Saturday and had a great time! Thanks for the recommendation! If anyone plans on going here, you can park infront if it's too hot to walk.

Not sure if this has been posted but according to the news tonight, LA King confectionary and ice cream shop is back open. I love this place!:D
