fairger Posted January 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2012 I am looking into going on the 7 day cruise in April of this year (Less than 4 mos away!). I've noticed that people seem to schedule their cruises much farther out than this. Are there downsides to scheduling so close to the cruise date! Emdee Posted January 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2012 No downside at all. The first one I did in two weeks and it was the 7 day cruise. Look at all the tours available on the PG website. Ten look at alternatives - Tapuna and Patrick in Bora Bora, snorkelling in Raitea and book those separately. Keep some time to visit the Bora Bora motu - my most favourite place in the world ( and I have travelled the world!). Dont forget to go to your roll call in case you can find some friends there. Let me know if you have any questions.
fairger Posted January 3, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted January 3, 2012 Thanks, Emdee. Think I'm going to take the leap and go in April.
egret Posted January 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2012 As far as my experience, the only downside to scheduling close to the cruise date is that if you want to do a precruise, the land resorts may be booked. This happened once to us when we went at the last minute.
Muddcats Posted January 9, 2012 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2012 Thanks, Emdee. Think I'm going to take the leap and go in April. Fairger, when you get time you might want to add yourself to the "Roll Call" message board for this specific cruise. There are a couple other passengers on that message board and we would enjoy having more. Ron & Joan Little
