Caribbean Princess self laundry

Do the CB self laundry washer and dryers take quarters or do you buy tokens with your cruise card?

Last time I was on the Caribbean Princess a couple of months ago the machines took quarters.

Hoping for an update on the CB self-service laundry question.

Have the rooms been converted to swipe/token or are they still quarters?

We were on board in Oct/Nov 2014, and they took tokens obtained by swiping your cruise card on the token dispenser. Each load was $3 to wash and $3 to dry.

We were just on the Caribbean Princess January 17-31, 2015; the self- laundry now uses tokens which are purchased from the machines in each laundry room using your ship card. $3.00 for a wash and $3.00 for a dry cycle. $1.50 each for washing and drying supplies.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering if I needed to stock up on quarters for our upcoming cruise on CB in about two months. The tokens are more convenient but it definitely is getting more expensive.

Still better than bringing more luggage though.

I would not stock up on quaters. You can always get them from the front desk. Then if tokens are needed there is not problem. It the same deal either way.
